The 2004 induction ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 28th at the Cornwall Civic Complex. A cocktail hour will be held prior to the 7 p.m. dinner.

The Sports Hall of Fame expects to complete this website in French by July 1st, 2004.

Translations are coming along well and it is expected the French version will be in operation within the next few weeks.

The Cornwall Sports Hall of Fame is made up of volunteers from many areas of the community. The website work and gallery upgrade has had the help of several very capable volunteers who were former educators and are now helping this project in their retirement. Paul Lusignan and Percy Billard have been the translation editors from the beginning of the project, Jack Whyte has been the expert photographer helping with reproducing pictures for the gallery, and Tom Swift has been the main editor of inductee profiles. The project is becoming the success we expected it to be because of their contributions.

The Board of Directors and the community were very saddened at the passing in June, 2003, of one of their founding president, Rick Forrester. The leadership and contribution that Rick brought to the Sports Hall of Fame was great. His accomplishments for the "Hall" were many and his work inspired the projects that are progressing at this time. His memory will live on in the Hall of Fame and the community.

We wish to acknowledge The Cornwall Business Association for their support of the Cornwall Sports Hall of Fame through the donation of the proceeds from their September meeting.

We also want to express thanks to Ron Ruckstuhland staff of Computer Sense for their excellent work in developing the kiosk that will be soon in service at the Civic Complex and at Cornwall Square.

Over 330 new profiles have been now been added to the Inductee Gallery.

Hockey heroes Newsy Lalonde, Cyril Dennenny, Orval Tessier and Lori Dupuis along with leading sports figures in all sports are now featured with a biography and a photograph.

Completing the Inductee Gallery is a major project... we will be regularly adding and enhancing profiles, so be sure to check back on a regular basis. If you have information or photos that would enhance the existing information, please contact us.

Information on Cornwall's sporting heritage is now easier to research than ever before with the development of this website.

Located at www.CornwallSportsHallofFame.com, the Board of Directors and other volunteers have have been working hard with website designer WEBtech to develop a well balanced site that not only profiles the inductees, but also the ongoing role that the Hall of Fame has in the community.
