James (Jim) Denneny

James Denneny, born in Cornwall on May 19, 1922, began his hockey career in the OCOT minor hockey system.

He played junior with the Cornwall Colts, leading his team in scoring, while winning the league Championship and the Citizen’s Shield.

Jim was still playing junior hockey when he enlisted in the Black Watch regiment in Montreal. He scored three goals in the only game he played before being posted overseas.

Jim finished his hockey with the Hamilton Tigers in the senior OHA.
