Ken Robertson has been a long time member of the Cornwall Golf and Country Club (C.G. & C.C.). He has been an avid golfer all his life.

He was a member of the Board of Directors for 8 years; he served as President for 5 years: 1967, 1968, 1973, 1974, and 1975. Ken also was the first Chairman of the Cornwall Open Golf Tournament in 1957, and thereafter for 9 more times.

On the course, Ken has always been a consistently good golfer. He was the Club Champion 3 times: 1953, 1955 and 1957).

In 1955, he was winner (low gross) at the St. Lawrence Golf Association meet in Potsdam, New York.

He was also a winner (low gross) at the Summerheights Open in 1967. His best score was a 68 at the CG&CC in 1965. He has had 5 holes-in-one.

Ken was fortunate to play many times with the CG&CC Teams in the St. Lawrence Border League competitions.

He organized 20+ golf excursions to Myrtle Beach in the off-season for groups of 12 to 24 people.

He also contributed an article for the book, “Chicken Soup for Golfers’ Soul.”

On 14 October 2002, at the age of 77, he shot his age.
