Frederick “Fred” Scott was born in 1906 in Ottawa. He moved to Cornwall in 1923.
He played ball with Ives Bedding in city league, and later in an Inter-Provincial league.
He played for Cornwall Capitols in the St. Lawrence League.
He umpired for several years – both baseball and softball.
He also excelled at football, softball, and lacrosse.
